Right now my mommy is writing this as I’m ensconced in the kitchen in the blanket nest that was made for me. I’m still a little drunk from the anesthesia.
I was so scared! Mommy and Daddy didn’t leave my side until the very end and they were there when I woke up. I’m not sure what this whole Tripawd thing is about, I’m still a little scared but Mommy keeps telling me I am a brave dog. She hopes to put pictures of before my surgery, as well as after and during my recovery to come. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wonderful community.

Welcome! We can’t wait to see pictures of you! I remember the drunkeness when my Chili Dawg came home, and yes, you are VERY brave.

Hi Cocoa, nice to meet you! I read your story. Wow, a blood borne infection! Crazy! I’m sorry you had to join the rank of Tripawds, but you and your parents have definitely come to the right place. I’m going to be sending positive thoughts your way for a quick, uneventful recovery. Be sure to tell your Mom & Dad to post on the forums if they have questions. Get some rest!!

Welcome and thank you for sharing your story Cocoa! best wishes for a speedy recovery. Just be careful with all those blankets, low profile orthopedic beds or a foam mattress are best for new tripawds We wouldn’t want you to get all tripped up while trying to get comfortable.
